Transit Passenger and Fare Management

Definition:

This market package represents the NOVA Local Transit Centers managing passenger loading and fare payments on-board transit vehicles using electronic means. It allows transit users to use a traveler card or other electronic payment device. Sensors mounted on the vehicle permit the operator and central operations to determine vehicle loads, and readers on-board the transit vehicle allow electronic fare payment.
