Roadway Service Patrols

Definition:

This market package represents the VDOT NOVA Safety Service Patrol that monitor the freeway system for incidents. The VDOT NOVA Safety Service Patrol also aid motorists by responding to minor incidents (flat tire, accidents, out of gas, push a vehicle to the shoulder or median) to minimize disruption to the traffic stream. This market package also shows a relationship between the VDOT NOVA Safety Service Patrol and the VDOT NOVA STC, VDOT NOVA Maintenance and Construction Operations and Virginia State Police to reflect the sharing of incident information.
